Kayla grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta, and ventured away from home to pursue her figure skating career. She was accepted to the National Sport School in Calgary and trained at Canada Olympic Park where she had the pleasure of being surrounded by National, World, and Olympic athletes from a variety of sports. Kayla’s passion for physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation developed through athletics and she now strives to encourage others to pursue a healthy, balanced lifestyle by participating in activities they love!
Clinically, Kayla has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, cardiorespiratory, and neurological (e.g., spinal cord injury, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis) injuries and conditions. Kayla predominantly uses manual and exercise therapy to treat patients of all ages and stages of life. She is currently pursuing pelvic health certifications and will soon offer these assessments and treatments. As a new graduate, Kayla strives to incorporate the latest physiotherapy research to provide high-quality treatment; check out her Instagram to learn more (@kaylahauckphysio).
In her free time, Kayla enjoys skiing, running, participating in local fitness classes (especially Zumba), volunteer coaching with Special Olympics, and shopping weekly at HomeSense.
Kayla hopes to see you soon at Elite Sports Medicine to begin your journey to recovery and help you achieve your goals, whatever those may be!
